Botconsole for ChatGPT and Claude (MCP)

The Botconsole MCP server connects your account to AI assistants — ChatGPT, Claude and other clients that support the Model Context Protocol. The assistant works in Botconsole on your behalf: describe the task in plain words, and it creates a bot, builds the scenario, connects channels and prepares posts.

What the connector can do

  • Bots: list your bots, get a bot with its connections and scenarios, create a new bot.
  • Scenarios: create and edit a scenario draft from a description of the dialog, publish the draft. Until a scenario is published, the bot's users do not see it.
  • Channels: create a website chat widget (with the embed code), list widgets, connect a Telegram bot.
  • Statistics: users, starts, requests, messages and errors of your bots for a chosen period.
  • Posts: create posts for Telegram channels with text, buttons and images, list posts and get post details. A new post is saved paused and is sent only on a schedule you confirmed.

How to connect

MCP server URL: https://botconsole.net/mcp

  • Claude: Settings → Connectors → “Add custom connector”, paste the URL and click “Connect”.
  • ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → “Create” (developer mode), paste the URL and choose OAuth authentication.

The Botconsole sign-in page opens next. Sign in to your account, review the permissions on the “Allow access to Botconsole?” screen and click “Allow”.

Permissions

  • bots:read — view bots, scenarios, connections and widgets;
  • bots:write — create bots, scenario drafts, widgets and Telegram connections;
  • bots:publish — publish scenarios;
  • posts:read and posts:write — view and create posts;
  • stats:read — view statistics.

The assistant sees only your bots and acts within your plan. Only the account owner can connect an AI app.

Security and data

  • Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 on the Botconsole website — the assistant never sees your password.
  • Telegram tokens and other secrets are never returned to the assistant. You can enter a bot token on a secure Botconsole page instead of the chat.
  • For each assistant action we store the operation name, its result and shortened parameters with secrets removed. You can see this log in your profile; it is deleted after 90 days. Your conversation with the assistant is not read or stored.
  • Details are in the privacy policy.

How to disconnect

Open Profile → AI connections and click “Disconnect” next to the app. Access stops immediately; bots, scenarios and posts it created stay. You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude settings.

Troubleshooting

  • The assistant asks you to sign in again — access was revoked or expired. Reconnect the connector.
  • bots_limit_reached — your plan's bot limit is reached. Delete an unused bot or change your plan.
  • platform_not_in_tariff — the channel (for example, Telegram) is not included in your plan.
  • widget_trial_expired — the website widget trial has ended.
  • draft_outdated — the scenario was changed in the constructor while the assistant was working. Ask the assistant to re-read the scenario and repeat the edit.
  • “Only the account owner can connect an AI app” — you are signed in as a manager of another account. Sign in to your own account.
